You can give a child with cancer
something to smile about
Here’s a fun way to give back some dignity to children with cancer, to put back the joy in their lives.
When chemotherapy treatment starts, children’s hair begins to fall out. That more than anything marks them off as different from their peer group, destroys their self-esteem, often bringing on clinical depression.
The specially made wigs that Zichron Menachem provides help to restore the balance. They’re effective but they cost - which is where you can come in.
We’re looking for young people who are prepared to donate some of their hair to make up wigs for our children. You can have a 30cm braid of hair cut knowing that it will grow again within a few months. You may be interested to know that we need fifteen such gifts to make up a wig.
To join in Hair Care this is what you have to do...

We’ll send you an action pack explaining how the process works and enclosing a sponsorship form for you to pass around your family and friends. Once you’ve grown your hair, we’ll invite you to a special session in one of London’s top salons where you’ll meet other people in the Hair Care bunch, have your hair cut and restyled.
A fun time for you… and a gift of great meaning to one of Zichron Menachem’s children.
"Thank you to all the children who helped make my wig. Now I look just like all my friends again"
